Analysis: People moved in direction of Latvia, Hiiumaa during school break

During the recent school holidays week, people s mobility increased significantly in the direction of Hiiumaa, Ida-Viru County and the Estonian-Latvian border area, a recently published Telia mobility analysis shows.
Holger Haljand, head of corporate customers at Telia Estonia, said that during April 19-25, people s mobility decreased by as much as 20 percent compared to the previous week. At the same time, certain areas clearly emerged where people were much more actively travelling to.
First of all, what stands out is that the people of Tallinn visited Ida-Viru County quite a lot, where the most popular destinations were the Vasknarva and Alajõe regions, that is the area on the northern shore of Lake Peipsi. Compared to the previous week, Hiiumaa also received quite a lot of visits. CityFibre is to raise hundreds of millions of pounds to help fund its ambitious fiber rollout program by selling a minority stake in the company to a new shareholder, according to a report on Sky News. The UK alternative network provider, says the report, has appointed two investment banks to seek out a third heavyweight investor to join its two existing stakeholders, Goldman Sachs-backed West Street Infrastructure Fund, and Antin Infrastructure Fund. Ericsson using AI to help hospital manage COVID-19 patients

Ericsson has announced that it’s collaborating with Telia and Sahlgrenska University Hospital to build insight models for planning and predicting the demands on the hospital so it can be better prepared for patients. The research project, which began in September, uses advanced analysis and artificial intelligence (AI) models in combination with healthcare information to help the hospital decide which resources it will need.
While real data from Telia Crowd Insights is being used, it has been anonymised and aggregated so that people’s identities cannot be worked out. Giving hospitals the ability to predict what resources will be needed at certain times of the day should help them better cope with the demand for their services from patients with the deadly coronavirus. ....
