Despite spending limited time in their school building, students at a local Catholic school found ways to celebrate National Catholic Schools Week Jan. 31 through Saturday.
According to the National Catholic Educational Association, the special week is an annual celebration of Catholic education in the United States. This year theme is "Catholic Schools: Faith. Excellence. Service."
Students at Cristo Rey Oklahoma City Catholic High School were able to celebrate by focusing on different areas of the community on each day of the special week. The decision to observe the week each day gave each student an opportunity to be involved since students are limited to the time they spend in the school building due to COVID-19 safety
