More Data Confirms Risk of COVID-19 Death, Serious Illness Very Low in Children
The risk of death or severe illness from COVID-19 in teenagers and children is extremely low, according to three new studies from the United Kingdom.
The studies provide the most detailed analysis to date on the impact of the CCP (Chinese Communist Party) virus on children and confirms earlier findings for those aged 18 and younger: that they are at very low risk of becoming severely ill or dying from the disease.
Researchers from the University of Liverpool, the University College of London, the University of York, and the University of Bristol published their pre-print studies, that are in the process of being peer-reviewed, online on July 8. Two of the studies analyzed the risks of severe illness and death from COVID-19, while one focused only on deaths. ....

Covid-19: Risks of severe illness in children shown to be very low in largest study yet
The risk of severe illness and death from SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes Covid-19, is extremely low in children and teenagers, according to the most comprehensive analyses of public health data, led by researchers at UCL, University of Bristol, University of York and the University of Liverpool.
However, catching Covid-19 increases the likelihood of serious illness in the most vulnerable young people, those with pre-existing medical conditions and severe disabilities.
One preprint study , published on the medRxiv server, found that 251 young people aged under 18 in England were admitted to intensive care with Covid-19 during the first year of the pandemic (until the end of February 2021). ....
