Almagro considers that Nicaragua is heading to "the worst possible election"

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL – The Secretary-General of the Organization of American States (OAS), Luis Almagro, considered this Wednesday that Nicaragua is heading towards “the worst possible election” due to the lack of guarantees to ensure a free, fair and transparent process.

Managua, Feb 2 (Prensa Latina) Nicaraguan Ambassador at the International Court of Justice (ICJ) Carlos Argüello on Tuesday championed his country s sovereign right to create a biosphere reserve in the Caribbean Sea.
By creating this reserve we are protecting an area of 44,000 square kilometers, the largest in Central America and in compliance with what the ICJ established in 2012, the diplomat said in an interview via Zoom with En Vivo news hour from Canal Cuatro of Nicaraguan television.
Last week, the National Assembly (Parliament) of Nicaragua passed the law that declares and defines as Biosphere Reserve of the Nicaraguan Caribbean an area containing natural resources and full coastal and marine ecosystems with a high ecological and economic value in that region of the national territory. ....
