PORT-AU-PRINCE, HAITI - Six people, including two American missionaries, were killed when a private airplane crashed southwest of Port-au-Prince, local authorities said Saturday.
The aircraft had taken off from the city s airport at 6:57 p.m. (2257 GMT) on Friday and should have arrived at Jacmel, on Haiti s southern coast, around an hour later, according to the National Civil Aviation Office (NCAO).
The plane crashed en route with six people on board, an NCAO incident report said.
Gutenberg Destin, the coordinator of civil protection for Haiti s Ouest Department, confirmed to AFP that all six people on board had been killed. ....

PORT-AU-PRINCE, July 3 (Reuters) - All six people on board a private plane, including two Americans missionaries, were killed when the aircraft crashed in Haiti, southwest of capital Port-au-Prince, according to media reports and a missionary group.
The plane went down on Friday evening en route from an airport in Port-au-Prince to the southern coastal city of Jacmel, typically a short flight, reported the Miami Herald, citing a statement by the National Civil Aviation Office (NCAO). Reuters could not independently confirm the report.
The cause of the crash was not immediately known.
A Haitian government representative and the U.S. embassy did not immediately respond to a request for comment. ....

Two American missionaries were among six people killed Friday when a private plane crashed in Haiti, according to reports.
The flight went down after leaving Port-au-Prince, the country’s capital, en route to Jacmel on the southern coast, having taken off around 7 p.m. local time, Haiti’s National Civil Aviation Office said, according to Agence France-Presse.
The flight usually takes around an hour. 
U.S.-based Gospel to Haiti identified the Americans on Facebook as Trent Hostetler, 35, and John Miller, 43, adding that Hostetler’s wife and children had taken an earlier flight. Miller was from Wisconsin, a Facebook post said; it was unclear where Hostetler was from. ....
