When Nature Teaches Us a Lesson
It is said that ‘experience is a good teacher.’ However, it could also be said that ‘nature is a reliable and formidable teacher.’ When nature teaches us something, it uses its laws which have survived the test of time to make a point. Jesus was very much aware of this in his time. That is why, in the Gospel reading today, he uses the imagery of a tree to describe how our relationship with one another and with God should be. Church leader supports setting up of more community pantry stations

“We are very happy and thankful that our communities never cease to bring out the innate generosity, kindness, and compassion in everyone even at a time when poverty is most visible,” the national director of the National Secretariat for Social Action (NASSA) Caritas Philippines said over Radio Veritas.
“The generosity displayed by those involved amid the pandemic is a most Christian way of responding to the needs of those who were badly affected by the health crisis,” Bagaforo said.
The bishop said he supported the setting up of more community pantry stations to help those in need and to further display the goodness in everyone. ....

THE Pope Francis for Resilient and Co-Empowered Sustainable Communities (Francesco) consortium turned over 303 housing units for the second batch of Yolanda survivors in Tacloban City Thursday, April 8, 2021.
Aida Vidal, general manager of Francesco, said the recipients were from Pope Francis Village Homeowners’ Association coming from the coastal areas of Barangay Magallanes and San Jose District of the city.
