Minority as a term has not been defined in India’s Constitution. However, Articles 29 and 30 of the Indian Constitution deals with the minorities. The National Commission of Minorities Act 1992 defined it as, “a community notified as such by the Central government.” There are six notified minorities in India: Jain, Parsi, Buddhist, Christian, Sikh and Muslim. The Indian Government has been working relentlessly for preserving, protecting and developing these minorities in every sphere. That is why we see a separate Ministry for the minorities in the Indian Cabinet: Ministry of Minority Affairs (MoMA). This Ministry develops frameworks for accomplishing the desired goal that is the upliftment of these minorities. Under the guidance of the Central Government, the MoMA comes up with different schemes and welfare programmes for these minorities from time to time. PESHAWAR: The  Khyber Pakhtunkhwa will reconstruct the Hindu temple vandalised in the Karak district, the province s chief minister Mahmood Khan said Friday.
The chief minister said that several people involved in the incident were arrested and that the provincial government would soon ensure the reconstruction of the temple.
Mahmood Khan said that orders have been issued to the concerned authorities for the construction of the temple and categorically stated that no one would be allowed to take the law into their own hands.
The chief minister vowed that the protection of the minorities holy places would be ensured no matter the cost. ....
