ISLAMABAD: The National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (Nepra) on Wednesday finalised about 21 paisa per unit reduction in electricity rates for ex-Wapda distribution companies (Discos) for a month under the monthly fuel cost adjustment (FCA).
At a public hearing presided over by Nepra chairman Tauseef H. Farooqui, the regulator did not agree immediately to a Rs13.4bn worth of three year-old adjustments on the basis of which the Discos had demanded about 80 paisa per unit increase in monthly FCA. ....

ISLMABAD:
The National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (Nepra) on Monday slashed power tariff by 26.44 paisa per unit on account of fuel cost adjustment for the month of May 2021.
It allowed the Central Power Purchasing Agency-Guarantee (CPPA-G) to return 26.44 paisa per unit, which it had overcharged from electricity consumers during the month of May. The CPPA-G had requested Nepra to allow refund of the overcharged tariff of 12.5 paisa per unit to the consumers of distribution companies for May 2021 under the fuel cost adjustment (FCA) mechanism. ....

ISLAMABAD:
The National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (Nepra) on Friday increased electricity rates by Rs2.97 per unit on account of quarterly tariffs and levying surcharge.
The power regulator increased power tariff by Rs1.72 per unit for quarterly adjustments of power distribution companies and Rs1.25 per unit in electricity surcharge.
The ailing power sector companies will recover this amount from electricity consumers who are already paying their bills.
However, Nepra in a statement said that the consumer-end tariff would only increase by around Rs0.08/kWh except for commercial users. The increase for commercial consumers will be by Rs0.11/kWh with effect from September 30, 2021. ....
