UPES, Dehradun Wins B. M. Sreenivasaiah Memorial, 6th National Moot Court


The team comprising
Abhishant Kumar (BA LLB Energy Laws 5th year) and
Sanjana Dwivedi (BA LLB Energy Laws, 4th year) from University of Petroleum and Energy Studies emerged as the winners in the
B. M. Sreenivasaiah Memorial, 6th National Moot Court Competition, 2021.
Abhishant Kumar won the title of
Best Orator and
Best Researcher in the same competition.
The moot competition was hosted virtually by B.M.S. College of Law and it was held between 8th-11th July, 2021.

LSAT-India on May 29
In response to the postponement of Class XII CBSE exams, LSAC Global announced that the 2021 LSAT-India will be delivered over multiple days and slots starting May 29. Due to uncertainty of the date for the Board exams, which will not be announced until at least June 1, LSAC Global felt it was unfair for the current class of law school aspirants to have to put their exam preparations on hold. Most importantly, the date change assures students that the exam will not fall in concurrent dates, giving students the flexibility to adequately prepare for both examinations. Mary-Olga Lovett, Senior Vice President of global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP, has joined the Board of Directors of South Texas College of Law (STCL) Houston.
An alumnus of STCL Houston, Lovett (class of ’93) is one of five new board members. While a student at South Texas, Lovett became the first law student to hold the titles of the nation’s two largest moot court competitions, the National Moot Court Competition and the American Bar Association National Appellate Advocacy Competition. She was also active in the Women’s Law Student Association and received the Order of Barristers. ....
