Setcrete joins the IBC Buying Group 29 April, 2021 Setcrete has become a supplier member of the IBC Buying Group. IBC Buying Group’s 200+ merchant members can now purchase the entire Setcrete range at specially-negotiated IBC buying terms. They can also take advantage of Setcrete’s merchant support, which includes the provision of branded point-of-sale displays, complementing the products colour-coded packaging designed to simplify selection; tailored product training for merchant staff; and in-branch product demonstration days for merchant customers. Expert technical support is available for both merchants and end users, either remotely by phone or video, or by pre-arranged site visits. A group of companies, including Travis Perkins, has committed to fast-tracking adoption of ETIM (European Technical Information Model), a standardised means of describing product specifications, designed to clarify requirements along the supply chain. Widespread adoption of an open industry standard would ease the creation of digital databases and search engines for online trading in a wide variety of supplies. The group of ETIM Trailblazers now comprises more than 20 merchants, buyers and suppliers, according to the BMF. These include H&B Group and the National Merchant Buying Society. ....
