SINGAPORE: Residents of Block 745 Yishun Street 72 are required to undergo mandatory swab tests after COVID-19 cases were detected there.
The free tests will be conducted from Jun 1 to Jun 2 as a precautionary measure, according to a message to residents shared by Minister of State for Home Affairs and National Development Faishal Ibrahim. Dr Faishal is a member of parliament for Nee Soon GRC.

In a Facebook post on Monday (May 31), Dr Faishal added that Nee Soon Town Council has done thorough cleaning and disinfection of the common areas at Block 745 and the surrounding blocks. ....

SINGAPORE (The Straits Times/ANN): Christian and Muslim religious leaders in Singapore met on Thursday (Jan 28) to reaffirm the mutual trust and understanding between the two religious communities and condemn the plot by a Protestant Christian youth to attack Muslims at two mosques here.
The meeting was held at the Yusof Ishak Mosque in Woodlands, one of two sites targeted by a 16-year-old Singaporean of Indian ethnicity who was inspired by the 2019 Christchurch mosque shootings, a tragedy which claimed 51 lives in New Zealand. ....

Youth mentoring programme is part of new anti-drug abuse campaign in Nee Soon Central

SINGAPORE - Nee Soon Central will soon have a youth mentoring programme advocating a drug-free lifestyle as part of a new anti-drug abuse campaign which was launched on Thursday (Jan 21) in the ward.
The campaign is a collaboration between the Nee Soon Central Youth Network, the Central Narcotics Bureau (CNB), and the National Council Against Drug Abuse (NCADA).
Ahead of the campaign, 25 grassroots volunteers attended a training workshop conducted by the CNB to become anti-drug abuse ambassadors.
These volunteers will run the upcoming youth mentoring programme, which will also involve former drug offenders sharing their experiences and the negative impact their drug use had on their loved ones. ....
