Private provident funds can now invest in AIFs that support MSMEs, startups

With this move, small enterprises and startups can tap long term money from provident funds, superannuation and gratuity funds.

New Delhi: The government on Tuesday allowed non-government provident funds, superannuation and gratuity funds to invest up to 5% of their investible surplus in alternate investment funds or AIFs that support infrastructure, micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs), venture capital funds and social venture capital funds.
With this move, small enterprises and startups can tap long term money from these pension funds. If Employees’ Provident Fund Organsiation (EPFO) also adopts the new guidelines then a large sum of money will be available for small enterprises. ....

EV firm Euler Motors raises $9.5 million - The Hindu BusinessLine

Euler Motors, an automotive start-up focused on electric commercial vehicles (EVs) has closed its Series A funding round at $9.5 million, with additional investments of $2.6 million raised from new investor ADB Ventures, the venture investing arm of Asian Development Bank, and existing investor Blume Ventures.
The new funds will be used for Euler Motors’ upcoming launch of three-wheeler cargo vehicle this year, and support market expansion in India to cities like Bangalore, Kolkata, Ahmedabad & Pune, in addition to Delhi NCR. Also, the company prepares to launch an advanced technology L5 vehicle in the upcoming quarter, according to a statement.
“ADB Ventures’ investment in Euler Motors signals a growing market readiness for EV in India. We are delighted and proud that ADB Ventures have chosen Euler Motors as their first investment in an EV company. BATON ROUGE - Louisiana State University issued a release to members of its community on Wednesday (March 17) stating that the university plans to hold in-person commencement exercises this spring.
In the notice, LSU Interim President Tom Galligan said that LSU s May graduates, March graduates of the LSU Online program, and all LSU graduates from throughout 2020 will have the opportunity to walk across the stage as their names are called during the ceremonies.
Degree candidate and graduates must confirm that the plan to attend by April 9 and complete a brief questionnaire that will be turned in to the university. ....

Tanger Center announces show list for inaugural Broadway season

Audiences will be able to watch live theater in person this fall during the Tanger Center s first Broadway season. The Tanger Center announced its revised schedule Wednesday, with WICKED starting off the calendar of performances in October. The theater previously postponed its grand opening events at the start of the COVID-19 pandemic. In this exclusive interview, Nix & Kix co-founders Kerstin Robinson and Julia Kessler discuss their history and the challenges they faced in setting up their own drinks company.
From their financial background, the pair developed their drinks brand after identifying a gap in the market for adult soft drinks. They saw an opportunity for their product not only as a replacement for alcoholic drinks, but also as an alternative to tea and coffee during the day.
Commenting on their start, Robinson said: “
