Messages of thanks for healthcare staff in St Ives

A medical practice in St Ives has received many messages of thanks for its contribution throughout the coronavirus pandemic.
The Grove Medical Practice is using a platform called TAP (Thank And Praise) to send personal messages of thanks to key workers.
Any member of public can Thank and Praise any member of staff and more than100 messages of thanks from the patients have been collected publicly for the staff.
Matt Findel-Hawkins, CEO of  TAP said: “We are excited that our platform is being used by The Grove Medical Practice who provide a full range of medical services to all patients. ....

Primary Care Network in St Ives receive vaccine support

Volunteers at the Primary Care Network (PCN) Vaccination Centre want to thank all those in the community who have helped them to run effectively.
The Primary Care Network comprises of the Grove Medical Practice, Moat House Surgery, Riverport Surgery, and The Spinney Surgery who have all been running a Covid-19 vaccination service for its patients.
They want to send thank the businesses which have shown kindness by baking cakes, dropping off food, and tea and coffee.
A spokesman for the Grove Medical Practice, in St Ives said support had included the medical team at RAF Wyton, Huntingdonshire District Council and Cambridgeshire County Council, Cambridgeshire police, Cambridgeshire Fire, and Rescue Service and many others in the district. Tesco, Waitrose and the Rheola Care Home baked cakes, donated food and dropped off refreshmen ....

Patients in St Ives receive vaccination

Dr Emma Gayton, GP Partner at Grove Medical Practice and Clinical Director for St Ives Primary Care Network said “I have never been as proud of being a GP in St Ives as I was this weekend during our first Covid-19 vaccination clinic.
“Our patients were so happy to be vaccinated and braved the cold and rain, and sometimes dark conditions.
“Our staff and volunteers gave up their weekends to work in the clinic and managed to vaccinate hundreds of local people.”

There will be dedicated vaccination hub which will mean some patients will have to visit a different practice to their usual one to receive their vaccination. Full details will be given to patients when contacted.
Their teams have been working hard to contact patients in the priority groups to receive the Covid-19 vaccine as part of the latest phase of the vaccine roll-out that is being co-ordinated by GP-led Primary Care Networks (PCNs). This includes starting to vaccinate care home residents and staff. The NHS will contact people in the priority groups when it is their turn to receive the vaccine. ....
