Charles City, IA – The Charles City Community Revitalization organization is seeking volunteers for upcoming events and city-wide projects.
Committee that routinely meet include Design/Downtown Beautification, Business Improvement, Outreach and Promotion. Other committees seeking help are for events that include Party in the Park, Spookwalk, the Great Chili Cook-Off and the Holiday Lighted parade.
Most committees now meet virtually, so volunteers can meet via Zoom or by phone conference call.

The Community Revitalization program in Charles City is actively recruiting new volunteers interested in helping to improve their community.
“Wanting to get more involved? Do you have ideas for making Charles City a better place to live, work and play … or want to be around and help others who do? If so, Community Revitalization would like to talk to you,” said Community Development Director Mark Wicks.
Charles City’s volunteer-driven Main Street Iowa program is looking for people interested in being a part of any of its various volunteer committees and project task forces. Core committees that meet on a regular basis include Design/Downtown Beautification, Business Improvement, Outreach and Promotion. There are also various task forces which focus just on a particular event or project, including Party in the Park, Spookwalk, Great Chili Cook-Off, the Holiday Lighted Parade and more.
