NJCU will dedicate the center’s recital hall as the Robert M. Kaye Recital Hall in appreciation for his donation.
New Jersey City University (NJCU) President Sue Henderson has announced that the university received a $1 million gift from entrepreneur, philanthropist, and real estate developer Robert M. Kaye.
The gift will be among the largest in the university’s history and becomes the second lead gift in NJCU’s $10 million campaign to develop its Center for Music, Dance and Theater (CMDT) and The Guarini Performing Arts Center (GPAC) at University Place, a $400 million redevelopment of the institution’s West Campus. ....

The New Jersey City University’s Center for Music, Dance and Theater and Guarini Performing Arts Center projects are $1 million closer to becoming reality.
Real estate developer Robert M. Kaye has donated $1 million toward the projects, which are seen as the pillars of the $400 million University Place, a redevelopment of the school’s West Campus, NJCU President Sue Henderson announced. The gift is among the largest in the university’s history and is the second lead gift in NJCU’s campaign for the performing arts projects. ....
