Fairfield, California – (Monday, March 15, 2021) The City of Fairfield Housing Services Department has partnered with Legal Services of Northern California, Project Sentinel, and Shelter Inc., to provide assistance to Fairfield families who have been impacted by the COVID-19 Pandemic and are seeking assistance related to eviction or to prevent eviction.
On September 11, 2020, the Housing and Urban Development Department (HUD) released its third and final CARES Act funding. The City of Fairfield was allocated $691,599. The Guidance from HUD Secretary, Ben Carson, is that the funds be prioritized to “households struggling to meet their rental or mortgage obligations to stay afloat as our nation continues to recover from the coronavirus pandemic.” ....
