Julia Michaels Songs Acquired by Influence Media

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
The Michaels acquisition is the second from Influence Media’s music fund with the Municipal Employees’ Retirement System (MERS of Michigan), which boasts $100 million in initial capital to invest in the recording and publishing rights of commercially proven songs. Its first joint acquisition, of select copyrights from songwriter Ali Tamposi’s catalog, was announced in April.

IONIA The city of Ionia s proposed fiscal year 2022 budget is a nearly 6 percent decrease from the previous year.
The Ionia City Council participated in a special session before its regular meeting Tuesday, May 4, to review the proposed FY22 budget.
Council members voted unanimously to set a public hearing on the budget and utility rate ordinance at its June 1 regular meeting, followed by adoption.
Ionia City Manager Precia Garland said department heads submitted their budget requests in March. Garland and Finance Director Chris Hyzer prepared the recommended budget in April. Following the budget adoption in June, the new fiscal year begins July 1. ....

Ontario Municipal Employees’ Retirement System (OMERS) is looking to purchase up to a 30% ownership stake in U.K. broadband infrastructure company CityFibre Holdings Ltd. West Street Infrastructure Partners (Goldman Sachs) and Antin Infrastructure are shareholders in CityFibre Holdings.
In April 2018, an investor group led by West Street Infrastructure Partners acquired CityFibre for 538 million GBP. CityFibre was listed in 2014.

KINGSFORD The city of Kingsford shows a general fund balance of $2.4 million, which would give the city about 244 days of funds if there was an emergency, according to an auditor’s report.
Auditor Scott Kenney of Crystal Falls appeared before the city council on March 22 to present an in-person report on the audit.
The council had accepted the audit, which carried an unmodified status, at a January Zoom meeting. The unmodified status is the highest rating a CPA can render on a financial statement, Kenney said.
The city’s general fund budget for the 2020-21 fiscal year that began July 1 totals $4.25 million. ....
