(Natural News)
A recent study published in the journal
Researchers arrived at this conclusion after studying data from the National Antimicrobial Resistance Monitoring System (NARMS), a joint program between the
Food and Drug Administration,
Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC)
.
NARMS collected chicken breast, ground beef, ground turkey and pork chops from 19 different states between 2012 and 2017. In each state, it randomly selected a food retailer within 50 miles of its lab and collected 40 samples every month.
For their study, the researchers analyzed nearly 40,000 meat samples to investigate whether different processing methods were associated with the amount of multidrug-resistant organisms (MDRO) in retail meat. The samples were taken from 216 conventional meat processors, 123 processors that split their operations between organic and conventional, and three fully organic pro ....

About 50% of lamb mince sold in Australian supermarkets contains a dangerous parasite that may cause brain damage

https://www.afinalwarning.com/502507.html
(Natural News)
A recent study concluded that lamb mince sold in Australian supermarkets might be contaminated with parasites. In the report, researchers from
Flinders University tested lamb meat sold in supermarkets three times a week for six months. After testing, they found that 34 out of 79 samples were contaminated by the parasite
Toxoplasma gondii.
T. gondii is a parasite found in domesticated cats. It is released into the environment through feces.
T. gondii, once released into the environment, is resistant to freezing, toxins and even chlorination. Animals become infected by
T. gondii by ingesting the parasites in the soil. In turn, humans become infected by consuming raw meat contaminated by the parasite. ....

Fish off the coast of Fukushima show high concentrations of radioactive cesium

NHK.
Laboratory tests revealed that black rockfish caught at a depth of 24 meters (m) nearly 8.8 kilometers (km) off the coastal town of Shinchi were contaminated with up to 500 becquerels (Bq) of radioactive cesium per kilogram. The permitted standard level is 100 Bq of radioactive cesium per kilogram.
Fishermen in affected coastal towns have since suspended fishing for the species, citing potential health issues. In addition, the Fukushima Prefectural Federation of Fisheries Cooperative Associations has also halted the distribution of black rockfish until local authorities can declare it safe to do so.
On Feb. 19, Tokyo Electric Power Co. (TEPCO) said cooling water levels have fallen in two reactors at the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant since a powerful earthquake hit the area over the weekend. The earthquake might have caused damage to the plant and caused water to leak. ....
