An 86-year-old mother in the extremely vulnerable category has shared her stressful experience in her efforts to be vaccinated.
The Farndon resident, who wanted to remain anonymous, asked her daughter, Erika Szyszczak, to handle her covid-19 vaccination booking as she is hard of hearing.
Erika, who lives in Brighton, said it was a struggle to get the flu vaccine, which was needed before her covid vaccine.

“It began in mid-December 2020 when my mother had still not had her flu vaccine, and we realised she needed it urgently to obtain the covid-19 vaccine, which we thought would roll out at the end of December 2020 for her,” said Erika. ....
