Let's put aside differences and come together to build UTAR Hospital, says Mah

PUTRAJAYA: The construction of the Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman (UTAR) Hospital in Perak will ensure better training for healthcare students, and Deputy Education Minister Datuk Dr Mah Hang Soon has urged all groups to set aside their differences and donate to the cause.
Mah, who is also MCA s UTAR fundraising committee chairman, has estimated that RM330mil will be required to build the hospital in Kampar, Perak.
I urge all groups to set aside our political and cultural differences. Together, let s ensure that this hospital can be constructed soon for the benefit of everyone, he told a press conference at the Education Ministry on Monday (April 26). ....

Northland s St John Ambulance service is better off thanks to a donation from the Whangārei Lions Club s 27th annual corporate Charity Golf Tournament.

FOUNTAIN, Colo. â While tending to their newborn, premature baby at Childrenâs Hospital in Denver, Marcus Dabney got a call from one of his sonâs saying his older brother, 17-year-old Nathaniel Dabney, was hit and killed by a car back home in Fountain.
It was something that every parent does not want to hear. We lost a part of our heart. We lost a part of our soul, Marcus said. We haven t slept for three days. Once we got that news, we were crying, we were aching, Marcus said.
Nathaniel was walking alongside a nine-year-old, who was also killed, and a 16-year-old, who was sent to the hospital. ....
