OZAMIZ CITY, Misamis Occidental, June 3 (PIA) Six more barangays in Ozamiz City were declared drug cleared through a virtual evaluation by the Regional Oversight Committee on Barangay Drug Clearing (ROCBDC), May 31.
Barangays Capucao P, Embargo, Dalapang, Mentering, Stimson Abordo, and Kinuman Sur have achieved drug-cleared status after being granted certification by the members of the Oversight Committee.
Focal Person of the City Anti-Drug Abuse Council (CADAC) Paul Singh said the oversight committee checked the complete documents previously sent to the barangays of the committee and found that the drug was genuine and sincere-clearing efforts of LGU-Ozamiz under the leadership of Mayor Sancho Fernando Oaminal for the barangays in the city. ....

Today I sponsor Senate Bill No. 2215 under Committee Report No. 259, An Act Institutionalizing Anti-Drug Abuse Councils in Every Local Government Unit, And for Other Purposes.
According to the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime, we are experiencing a global drug problem with at least 35 million people around the world who suffer from drug addiction.
