Motorists have been urged to take care on Coast roads as several remain blocked off due to fallen trees and powerlines.
Sunshine Coast Council has asked residents to avoid:
Mary Street, Nambour - closed to all traffic with multiple power lines and trees down. Signage is in place to redirect motorists
Whites Road in Kunda Park and Vises Road at Forest Glen are heavily impacted, but passable with traffic control on-site
Cotton Tree Aquatic Centre - access road closed due to a large tree down blocking exit areas. Other roads affected: Nambour - Vernon Street, Elizabeth Street, Arundell Avenue ....

Parts of the Sunshine Coast were lashed by a powerful hailstorm which caused property damage, fallen trees and power outages on Wednesday night.
Hail struck major suburbs including Nambour, Maroochydore and Cotton Tree, and more than 8000 homes were without power in parts of Palmwoods, Nambour, Eudlo Creek and Buderim.
About the same time firefighters were also tasked to Holly Green Crescent in Palmwoods after a tree reportedly fell on a house, bringing powerlines down as well.
Nambour State Emergency Service crews received more than 100 calls during and after the storm and were still responding to more than 60 on Thursday morning. ....

More than $8m has been spent by the Sunshine Coast Council and the State Government in the past decade to maintain and upgrade Palmwoods roads.
The Department of Transport and Main Roads has invested more than $4m over the past ten years in and around the area.
The council has spent more than $4.3m in just five years.
Business and residents have voiced their concerns over the past month with a petition launched calling for several prominent intersections to be upgraded as well as the speed limit lowered throughout the main street.
