Today s recipient of a $100 bill through the Believe Project is Sally Lynn Crane of Lincolnshire.
She wants to give the money to her 84-year-old mother. Here is an excerpt of her story:

She has had a year full of unexpected expenses and health related issues, and I would like to give her the $100 towards purchasing some much needed things for herself for Xmas.
This gift would bring cheer to her right now.

Last month, we invited you to participate in our annual Believe Project by telling us how you would use $100 to help another person.
The response was overwhelming.

Suggestions poured in and thanks to donor and former suburban businesswoman Carolyn Gable we ve been able to send $100 bills to folks with the most compelling stories of how to use the money to help make another s life a little better.
Since the start of December, 20 suburban residents have been chosen to receive an envelope through this year s Believe Project. Normally, the project would be limited to the 31 days of the month. ....

Today s recipient of a $100 bill through the Believe Project is Eileen Smith of Des Plaines.
She wants to give the money to a friend. Here is an excerpt of her story:

In June, she was diagnosed with cancer. She s had (multiple) operations and radiation. She s just recently been told they re letting her go from her job. The company sold and (is) downsizing. She s had to go on disability and is struggling to make ends meet right now.
She also had an eye surgery that was not successful and is just overwhelmed with all the negative things that have happened to her in the past year. The $100 would help her and also lift her spirits to Believe that good things can still happen to good people. ....

My sister-in-law . gave up her job (age 73) to care for her younger sister (age 71) who is paralyzed and diabetic. She s cared for her younger sister for ten years. She s struggling to meet her expenses, and the $100 would be welcomed at Christmas.
