Alzheimer s Society in Rutland calls for Government to prioritise care home visits as lockdown is eased

People in Rutland are being asked to sign a letter calling on the Government to change rules that prevent people making meaningful visits to elderly relatives.
The Alzheimer’s Society’s area manager for Rutland, Nasim Minhas, says some people in care homes have not had proper contact with family members for a year.
This, she says, is particularly devastating for those living with dementia, who may lose the ability to recognise faces, and communication skills.
The Alzheimer s Society has launched a campaign to allow care home visits to be more meaningful ....
