COVID-19 vaccine supply limited. Some experts are "frustrated."


NATICK Mary Burke isn t pleased with the state s recent decision to limit the supply of COVID-19 vaccines in local communities.
Earlier this month, Burke, a retired nurse who lives in Natick, got her first dose of the Moderna vaccine at a local clinic run by the Natick Department of Public Health. 
But starting Monday, the state is essentially cutting off many local communities from holding first-dose clinics. The reason is a lack of vaccine supply statewide.
Any board of health that is willing and ready to participate, should be able to do it, Burke said.

Wayland, Natick Will Share Coronavirus Vaccine Hub

WAYLAND, MA Wayland and Natick will share a site where first responders from both towns will be able to get the coronavirus vaccine, state officials announced Tuesday morning.
The vaccination site will be at the Natick Community Senior Center, 117 East Central St., and will open as soon as Jan. 11. The site will be open to police, firefighters and EMTs, who have been bumped to the beginning of the vaccination line along with healthcare workers and residents of senior living facilities.
State officials announced 114 vaccine sites for first responders across the state on Tuesday, and many towns are sharing sites. Concord-Carlisle High School will serve Concord, Sudbury, Lincoln and several other towns, and Marlborough High School will serve Hudson and Marlborough, for example. ....
