Both directions of I-5 at Grapevine reopen, officials say

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) Both sides of Interstate 5 at the Grapevine have reopened Tuesday morning, according to Caltrans.

California Highway Patrol officers were escorting cars through the pass earlier Tuesday morning. Officials said they planned to reopen the highway after they made it through the entire pass.
The highway was shut down Monday night after snow had accumulated for hours, making for dangerous driving conditions.

After a near five-hour closure, Interstate 70 reopened in both directions from Silverthorne to Golden, the town’s CSP division announced late Saturday night. The highway remains closed in both directions from Limon to Burlington as adverse weather conditions continue early Sunday morning, however.

DENVER â After a near five-hour closure, Interstate 70 reopened in both directions from Silverthorne to Golden, the townâs CSP division announced late Saturday night. Another closure on I-70 from Limon to Burlington also expired, but CSP urged drivers to avoid traveling as conditions are expected to worsen Sunday.
The highway was closed from C-470, near Morrison, to Silverthorne shortly after 7 p.m. All traffic was being diverted to C-470 due to the closure. The highway was later shut down from Limon to Burlington, in eastern Colorado, due to blizzard conditions, but reopened by about 10 a.m. Sunday.
HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) Harris County leaders say the Texas Department of Transportation failed to consider environmental impacts on neighborhoods and businesses in its I-45 expansion project.
On Thursday, Harris County Attorney Christian D. Menefee filed a lawsuit against the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) in order to stop the North Houston Highway Improvement Project, which expands I-45, until changes are made.
The North Houston Highway Improvement Project calls for I-45 to be lifted from its current route to follow U.S. 59. The freeway will flow along the east side of the Central Business District and pair up with I-10 before splitting off north to continue its current path.
