( Monitor, April 22) To propose such a policy when schools are finally reopening full-time seems dangerous and just plain ludicrous. The new variants are infecting young people at increasingly higher rates and sending greater numbers to the hospital. A pediatrician in Michigan reports treating more kids in her ICU for COVID in just two weeks than she saw in all of 2020. Do we want to see Weare’s kids return to school safely or do we want to create a potential super-spreader environment? We as a nation hold the distinction of having the most COVID cases and deaths in the world. Named parties of the suit against Witt now include doctors Kevin Rueter, Nancy Brennan and Laura Schweger, and local health clinics High Lakes Health Care, St. Charles Family Care, High Desert Personal Medicine and Mosaic Medical.
