According to Pipe Dream Brewing s Instagram page, coming up on Saturday, July 24 from 2p-6p, there will be an event put on called the Pup Crawl, which will benefit the Humane Society of Greater Nashua and the pets they shelter (not just dogs, but all of them.) ....

The delightful Pup Crawl (that’s a Pub Crawl plus dogs!) is here
Saturday from 1-6 p.m. This fun event spans 22 pet-friendly patios and businesses in Downtown Alton. With your $10 ticket you will receive a bandana for your pet, food and beverage specials, and a chance to win great prizes. Participating establishments will be listed on a passport that guides the event, and party-goers will be placed into a drawing one time for every establishment on the passport where they’ve made any purchase (food, merchandise, alcoholic or non-alcoholic beverage). Pet-related vendors, activities and animal welfare charities will be set up at businesses where space allows. Tickets are on sale now at participating locations, or get your ticket at the Alton Dog Park in Russel Commons Park under the Clark Bridge on the day of the event while supplies last. But little did her family know that the “Hope” on the horizon would be a Labrador retriever.
In the months after the diagnosis, Ollie lost his sight because of the disease. A short time later, he received a stem cell transplant from his older sister, Abby.
Feeling overwhelmed navigating cancer treatments and Ollie’s blindness, Dawn looked for resources to help her son and was pointed towards the Canadian National Institute for the Blind (CNIB) and, more specifically, its Guide Dog program.
“When we heard about the program, it really did actually give him hope,” Dawn said. “It’s really hard when you have a seven-year-old, who’s that sick, to try and keep them motivated to want to go through all the pain and all the treatments.” Ollie knew he had to get better to take care of a dog, though, and that was the motivation he needed. ....
