A Republican candidate in the special election to replace the late U.S. Rep. Ron Wright, R-Arlington, is facing intense backlash and has lost two of her biggest supporters after saying she does not want Chinese immigrants in the United States.
The comments by Sery Kim, a Korean American who served in the Small Business Administration under President Donald Trump, prompted California U.S. Reps. Attorneys: Litigation Possible Against Broadcaster Matt Rowan For Racist Rant About Norman Girls

Two prominent civil rights attorneys appeared on a virtual press conference Monday alongside the Norman High School girls basketball team to discuss the possibility of litigation against a broadcaster who swore at and used the n-word about them.
Possible causes of actions would be the torts known as the negligent infliction of emotional distress and/or the intentional infliction of emotional distress, said Little Rock- and Chicago-based attorney Mike Laux, discussing potential legal action against announcer Matt Rowan and his Tahlequah-based company.

Between social distancing guidelines and mask requirements, St. Patrickâs Day will look different this year as the COVID-19 pandemic continues into the spring, however festivities will still take place around Campus Corner and downtown Norman.
While COVID-19 cases are declining, business and city leaders urge mindfulness to safety precautions to keep everyone safe as they celebrate St. Patrickâs Day.
