The center will be located at the southeast corner of N. Findlay Avenue and E. Rich Street as part of the Norman Forward Sales Tax, as previously reported by the Transcript. The agenda for Tuesday nightâs special session shows a detailed presentation on the cityâs completed and ongoing building projects, infrastructure and equipment needs. The meeting will review projects currently under construction like the municipal complex renovations, an extension of Legacy Trail at 24th Avenue NW and 36th Avenue NW, utility relocation on 36th Avenue NW, sidewalks on Flood Avenue and stormwater improvements. ....
Feb 28, 2021 The Norman City Council faces a possible shortfall for certain capital projects in the capital fund amid ongoing challenges in revenue, city officials say. During a meeting Tuesday on the capital fund and financial reports, City Financial Services Director Anthony Francisco told the council the budget for new pay-as-you go projects is forecasted to have -$650,000 at the end of fiscal year 2021, and -$471,000 for the following year. Fiscal year ending 2023 s forecast is out of the red with a projected $1.4 million for new pay-as-you go projects. âIf council wants to add any projects, above and beyond what we are projecting to do or proposing to do, then you re going to have to give up some other project to save money for the project you would like to add,â Francisco said. ....
