BSE Sensex closed at 48,544.06, gaining 660.68 points or 1.38% while the broader NSE Nifty index ended the day at 14,504.80, up 194 points or 1.36% led by banks, auto and metal stocks.

Benchmark indices Sensex and Nifty on Tuesday recouped some losses seen yesterday as investors dumped stocks fearing an increase in regional lockdowns amid a record rise in Covid-19 cases.
BSE Sensex closed at 48,544.06,
gaining 660.68 points or 1.38% while the broader NSE Nifty index ended the day at 14,504.80, up 194 points or 1.36%.
A short-covering rally in markets cheered up dealers and market participants on Tuesday a day after Nifty declined over 500 points to post the worst day since 26 February 2021 and closed near 14,300 levels. ....

S&P BSE Sensex closed at 51,325 levels, down almost 379 points or 0.7% while broader Nifty 50 index settled 15,119 levels slipping almost 89 points or 0.6%.

The market continued to consolidate as benchmark indices ended lower for three consecutive days on Thursday as investors booked profits at higher levels.
S&P BSE Sensex closed at 51,325 levels, down almost 379 points or 0.7% while broader Nifty 50 index settled 15,119 levels slipping almost 89 points or 0.6%.
Sensex touched a high of 51,903.96 and a low of 51,186.68 to finally settle at 51,324.69 while Nifty closed at 15,118.95 after touching a high of 15,250.75 and low of 15,078.05 during the day. ....

The 30-stock BSE Sensex opened around 51,964 levels, down 154 points or 0.3% lower in opening trades while Nifty 50 was seen trading at 15,258.10 or 55.35 points lower around 0920 hours.

The market started off flat with a negative bias Wednesday morning after slipping the previous day.
The 30-stock BSE Sensex opened around 51,964 levels, down 154 points or 0.3% lower in opening trades while Nifty 50 was seen trading at 15,258.10 or 55.35 points lower around 0920 hours.
Broader markets fared slightly better as mid-caps outperformed blue-chips in early trades.
On Tuesday, Sensex closed 50 points lower at 52,104.17 while Nifty settled almost flat at 15,313 levels. ....

Sensex gives up gains after gap-up opening, Nifty slips below 14,450; RIL down over 3%

Mumbai: After slipping 0.3% last week, markets opened on a positive note Monday with benchmarks up almost 0.5% in opening trades. The 30-share BSE Sensex was up 279 points or 0.6% at 49,128, and Nifty gained 78 points or 0.54% at 14,450.
Markets quickly gave up all gains within the first hour of the trade after starting on a positive note as volatility set in.
Early gains were however capped by weakness in Reliance Industries Ltd (RIL) stock which slipped over 3% or Rs 68.15 at Rs 1981.50. UltraTech Cement gained 2.8% at Rs 5,694 in opening trades owing to robust Q3 earnings. ....
