The 100-year-old carpet warehouse in Churchfields will be turned into flats AN old carpet warehouse in the Churchfields area of Kidderminster will be redeveloped into 246 houses and flats over the course of the next three years. The former Tomkinson and Adam carpet site, which was built in 1902 as part of the expansion of the Mount Pleasant Works, is being converted into one and two-bedroom flats. As part of a project between regeneration specialist Vistry Partnerships and local housing association Citizen, 246 new homes in total will be developed at the 17-acre site. Of those, 100 homes will be available for open market sale through Citizen s Signature brand, while the remaining 146 will be affordable homes.
