Residents are asked to shovel the sidewalk adjacent to their property within four hours of the snowfall ending.
NEWPORT, RI As Rhode Island braces for a foot or more of snow in the coming days, a parking ban is in place across Newport, starting Wednesday night.
The ban will be in place from 9 p.m. Wednesday to 5 p.m. Thursday. Any vehicles parked on the following streets 30 minutes after the ban starts will be subject to a tow.
