Is it time to demolish this once-beloved sports venue? Oh, the memories. If I stumbled upon a time machine, one of my very many locations on my to-do list would be Fair Grounds Field. As a kid growing up in the 90 s in Shreveport, there was absolutely nothing like going to a baseball game at Fair Grounds Field. Sure, it wasn t the MLB, but it sure did feel like it. Thousands of fans packed the arena every time their MLB-affiliated Shreveport Captains took the field. The state lowered the age for vaccinations from 70 to 65 beginning Monday. LSU Health Shreveport provides vaccinations at the State Fair Grounds. You can preregister for the vaccinations at www.lsuhs.edu. Preregistration is not required, but you should bring a form of identification and an insurance card. Preregistration is essential to minimizing wait times and in accurate vaccine allocation. If you are unable to pre-register but are age 65 and older, you are eligible to receive the vaccine. ....

Those dates are Monday, February 1, Tuesday, February 2 and Wednesday, February 3. While pre-registration is requested, it is not required.
