Newton Pan Asian Culture festival goes virtual COURTESY OF THE NEWTON PAN ASIAN CULTURAL FESTIVAL The Newton Pan Asian Culture Festival was recently held virtually to celebrate the month of Asian American and Pacific Islander heritage, Asian organizations in the local communities worked to create an excellent program, including the Chinese American Association of Newton, the Newton Education Support Network, the Greater Boston Chinese Culture Association, the Newton Chinese Language School and Newton Community Pride. The online program introduced rich and diversified Asian displays of Asian culture, including those of Chinese, Korean, Japanese and Indian peoples. The evening delivered spectacles of cooking, handcrafts, folk dances, singing, painting, instrument performances and introductions to traditional Asian holidays.
