Contact tracing for soldier yields negative results, CHCC says

THE contact tracing that the Commonwealth Healthcare Corp. immediately conducted after a U.S. solider tested positive for Covid-19 yielded negative results, CHCC Chief Executive Officer Esther Muna said.
On Monday, the U.S. militaryâs Joint Region Marianas issued informed the public that a U.S. Army medical professional tested positive for Covid-19 following fifth-day testing by CHCC staff on April 6.
The soldier was placed into the isolation facility in accordance with Centers for Disease Control and Prevention guidance.
In an email interview, Muna said that as with any detected case, âcontact tracing starts immediately and the individual and contacts were immediately moved to the designated isolation area for close monitoring.â ....

2 more Covid-19 cases; contact tracing continues

TWO additional individuals have been confirmed positive for Covid-19 the Governorâs Covid-19 Task Force and the Commonwealth Healthcare Corp. said on Monday.
Within the recently identified community cluster, a total of 10 individuals have been confirmed positive for Covid-19. The cluster brings the CNMIâs total confirmed cases to 156 since March 28, 2020. There were two fatalities in March and April 2020.
The two additional cases were identified through expanded contact tracing and testing on redundant platforms, the task force and CHCC said. Both individuals are safely in quarantine and are asymptomatic. All positive cases and close contacts are isolated and in quarantine away from the community, the task force and CHCC added. ....

New Covid-19 case

THE islandsâ 133rd Covid-19 case since March 28, 2020 was reported Â on Monday.
Commonwealth Healthcare Corp. spokesman Lee Tenorio said the latest case was identified by travel screening and confirmed diagnosis through testing upon arrival, he added. The individual has been safely in quarantine and was moved to the designated isolation area for close monitoring, Tenorio said.
CHCC has already initiated contact tracing for the most immediate contacts of the new confirmed case, including passengers on the same flight, he added.
Currently, four individuals are in isolation and 131 have been released. There had been two deaths â the first in March 2020, and the second in April 2020. ....
