Eva Cagnones took the Oath of Office as County Auditor at Tuesday’s (March 2nd) meeting of Walworth County Commission.
The commissioners passed motions to remove the former county auditor from banking access at BankWest; give Cagnones a user name and password and make her the banking point of contact; and also give Deputy Auditor Marcie Keller full banking access with her own user name and password, in compliance with state law.
The commission enacted a burn ban, effective immediately. State’s Attorney James Hare read the resolution. ....

Eva Cagnones appointed "replacement auditor" at Walworth County Commission meeting

At Wednesday’s (February 24th) meeting of the Walworth County Commission, Eva Cagnones was appointed “replacement auditor”, effective March 2
nd, until a new auditor is elected.
Walworth County Emergency Manager Jeff Jensen discussed some grant opportunities and the possibility of getting CPR and AED training for county employees.
After several executive sessions regarding personnel matters, a motion to hold a hearing to terminate the Director of Equalization was tabled.
Discussion was held to adopt policy changes regarding per diem travel expenses for county employees. A motion to approve the changes passed, with Commissioners Scott Schilling and Kevin Holgard voting no. ....
