Needham Community Farm announces new farm manager Community Content The Needham Community Farm recently announced that Liz Perkus has been promoted to farm manager. Perkus joined the community farm in 2019 as farm educator, served as assistant farm manager in 2020 and now leads all farm operations. Noteworthy accomplishments from 2020 include creating the do-it-yourself wreath kits and launching the first fall salad Community Supported Agriculture. Perkus received her Bachelor of Science in plant sciences from Cornell University and a Master of Science in agroecology and sustainable agriculture from the University of Minnesota. Her work experience includes time in an organic agriculture lab studying soil health and fertility, and time working for a pollination ecology group in California. She has also worked on vegetable farms in Minnesota. Her favorite farm chore is pruning tomatoes, and she and her husband run a small flower business. ....
