Long Road Distillers, Blandford Nature Center create maple bourbon

It is available at Long Road Distillers’ tasting room at 537 Leonard St. NW.
The bourbon has been years in the making. The distiller provided a used whiskey barrel to Blandford, which the nature center used to age its maple syrup that is produced on-site in its old-fashioned sugarhouse.
“Our annual Sugarbush Festival and maple syrup harvest is one of the signature events here at Blandford, allowing visitors to get a first-hand look at the syrup making process from tree to sugarhouse,” Jason Meyer, Blandford’s president and CEO, said in an statement. ....
