Strabala sworn in as Stuttgart mayor | Stuttgart Daily Leader

County Judge Eddie Best delivers the oath of the office of mayor to Norma King Strabala.
The city of Stuttgart has a new mayor as former alderman Norma King Strabala was sworn into office Monday evening.
The ceremony took place during a reception held at Open Season Sports Bar & Grill in Stuttgart. Strabala hosted a meet and greet reception for the community prior to the swearing-in ceremony. She was sworn into office by County Judge Eddie Best at 5 p.m.
Following the swearing-in, Strabala thanked the crowd and the community for their support, and said it’s time to get to work to “make Stuttgart what it used to be.” ....

County Judge recounts weekend tornadoes; assesses damage

The National Weather Service confirmed that two EF-2 tornadoes passed through south Arkansas on Saturday, March 27. No injuries were recorded, but areas of Arkansas County sustained significant damage. County Judge Eddie Best said the tornado damaged Dixie Drier at Producers Rice Mill and an office building three miles south of DeWitt along Highway 165 South.
“Some part of that (Dixie Drier) was damaged pretty well on both ends. They had some crews out there the next day trying to repair some of the bends. There was an office building across the road, and sadly, it just demolished it,” Best said. ....
