Man subjected bus driver to âterrifyingâ assault A 23-YEAR-OLD man who subjected a bus driver to a “terrifying” assault has been handed a two-year probation order. Connor Oliver Floyd, of no fixed abode, appeared via videolink from Maghaberry Prison at Enniskillen Magistrates Court for sentencing concerning an incident on December 22 last. At 6.05pm, an emergency call was received from a Translink bus driver in Trillick, who said he had been assaulted by a passenger. The injured party had been driving from Enniskillen to Omagh with three passengers on board. The defendant first approached him at the South West Acute Hospital (SWAH) and asked if his girlfriend had got off the bus, and was told he had got on the bus alone. ....
Jeremy McCordick A 24-YEAR-OLD man who told police to f k off and tried to headbutt one of them while they responded to an incident at a house in Derrygonnelly has had his sentence deferred for six months. District Judge Steven Keown convicted Jeremy McCordick, of Cleenish Park, Enniskillen, of disorderly behaviour, assault on police and resisting police, concerning the incident on February 21. The court heard that on that date, police were responding to a report of a disturbance at a house in Derrygonnelly. Upon arrival, the defendant came out of the house and aggressively approached the police officers, threatening to assault them, and had his fists clenched. ....
John McVitty - 07771987378 - The first person to be charged regarding a series of historical child sexual abuse cases in County Fermanagh appeared at Enniskillen Magistrates Court today, Wednesday. 85-year-old James Balmer of Cherryville, Enniskillen, appeared via videolink regarding five charges of indecent assault on a male. The charges relate to alleged incidents involving two males on dates between September 1 and 15, September 16, September 30, 1989, and between November 17, 1988, and November 17, 1990. Balmer did not object to the holding of a preliminary enquiry with the prosecution putting forward that the 85 year old had a case to answer to. District Judge Steven Keown was satisfied there was a case to answer. ....
