Residents still mourning the loss of Max Schollenberger one year later


I can t believe it s been a year already, she said. It feels like I read about it just yesterday, and it s still heartbreaking to hear what happened to that poor boy.
On May 26, 2020, Annville Township Police and members of the Lebanon County Detective Bureau found the body of 12-year-old Maxwell in his second-floor room.
Both the bed and the victim s body were wholly covered in fecal matter, documents state. The door and its frame contained three metal hooks . to lock the child in his bedroom.  
Police filed homicide charges against the victim s father, Scott Fremont Schollenberger Jr. and his live-in fiancée, Kimberly Marie Maurer, in September 2020.  ....

Judge Brad Henley Honored With Hall Of Fame Award
The Greater Hubbard Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors recently selected Judge Bradford (Brad) L. Henley as its 2020 and 2021 Hall of Fame honoree. He was awarded at the chamber s annual banquet held this month.
A longtime Hill County resident, Henley was recognized for being active in various area endeavors and continually striving to make Hill County a better place to live.
He was born October 21, 1940, in Malone to H. F. and Rosella Henley. He attended Malone Elementary School and transferred to Hubbard High School, graduating in 1958.
After graduation, he attended Angelo State College in San Angelo from 1958 to 1960. While there, he loved to rodeo and ride bulls in addition to studying. He also met the love of his life, and he and his wife Patsy were married on October 2, 1960, in Sonora. ....
