Five injured two seriously in crash of pickup, two motorcycles in Buffalo County

TOWNSHIP OF NELSON, Wis. (WKBT) Two people suffered substantial injuries and three sustained minor injuries when a pickup crossed the centerline and hit two motorcycles at about 5 p.m. Saturday on State Hwy. 35 in Nelson Township, according to the Buffalo County Sheriff’s Department.
Richard J. Allemann, 52, of Cochrane, Wis., was driving a 2017 Toyota 4-Runner when he fell asleep at the wheel, drifted across the centerline and struck a 2020 Harley-Davidson driven by Andrew R. Petrenko, 30, of Fox Lake, Ill., and a 2016 Harley driven by Jonathan S. Brady, 28, of Ingleside, Ill., at the intersection with State Hwy. 25, according to a sheriff’s department news release issued Tuesday.
17-year-old girl dead, Portage County Sheriff s Office investigating incident as homicide

NELSON TOWNSHIP, Ohio â The Portage County Sheriffâs Office is investigating a homicide after a 17-year-old girl was found dead Friday afternoon.
According to authorities, the incident happened on Knowlton Road in Nelson Township around 4 p.m.
The 17-year-old girl has been identified as Kaylee Freitag, according to the Portage County Sheriff s Office.
An 18-year-old male, identified as Zachary Blosser, was charged with one count of murder, deputies said.
No further details have been provided.
