Naples Winter Wine Festival: 2022 event to return to in-person format

In March, NCEF awarded more than $9 million in grants to almost 40 local nonprofits whose work improves the lives of at-risk children in Collier County.
The money came from the 2021 festival, which comprised an online auction Jan. 22-Feb. 2, an hour-long broadcast on WINK-TV detailing NCEF’s mission and impact on Jan. 30 and an invitation-only virtual auction following the televised events. The event pivoted to a digital format to accommodate concerns around the COVID-19 pandemic
The digital festival raised about $7.4 million, while the online auction raised $678,000. Since its inaugural event in 2001, the NWWF has raised nearly $220 million.
In February, NCEF CEO Maria Jimenez-Lara applauded the community’s support. ....

Prominent wine-based charity event raises more than $7 million | Business Observer

NAPLES The Naples Children & Education Foundation, founders of the Naples Winter Wine Festival, one of the most prominent wine-based fundraisers nationwide, recently announced the results of its first-ever virtual festival. The event raised close to $7.2 million, according to a statement, funds for underprivileged and at-risk children of Collier County.
This brings the total amount raised by the Festival to nearly $220 million since its inception in 2001, the release states. The Festival works with more than 45 nonprofits in the local community, providing more than 275,000 local children with the services and resources, the release adds. Due to the ongoing COVID-19 outbreak, this year’s event was re-engineered to prioritize the health and safety of all NCEF donors, patrons and partners. ....

This year, the Naples Winter Wine Festival is going virtual, with opportunities for both patrons and the public to support the Naples Children & Education Foundation’s mission.
In the past 21 years, patrons helped raise more than $212 million for underserved children in Collier County. This year’s event may be different in format, but there are still plenty of opportunities to give by bidding on a mix of wine-soaked experiences, exclusive offers and dreamy trips to nearby and faraway places.

Each year, the NCEF hosts a festival to raise money for children, and that money is given to dozens of non-profits in our area who look out for the wellbeing of children.
They focus on seven strategic initiatives, starting with hunger.
