NEWAYGO COUNTY, MI The father of a 16-year-old Newaygo High School student who detonated an explosive at the school Monday was arraigned on multiple related charges.
David Robert Daniel Saylor, a 33-year-old Brooks Township resident, was charged in Newaygo County District Court on Tuesday, March 9, with one felony count of manufacturing explosive devices and one misdemeanor count of contributing to the delinquency of a minor by manufacturing those devices with his son.
The two are alleged to have made multiple devices between the months of January and March in Brooks Township. If convicted, Saylor could face up to four years in prison on the manufacturing charge. He is due back in court on March 18 for a probable cause conference and a preliminary hearing on March 25. ....

The father of a Michigan high school student who brought a homemade explosive to school is now facing charges in connection to the explosion.
Newaygo County Prosecutor Ellsworth Stay announced Tuesday that David Robert Daniel Saylor was arraigned on a two-count criminal complaint, according to a statement shared with The Hill.
Saylor is charged with one count of manufacturing and possession a Molotov cocktail and one count of contributing to the delinquency of a minor, Stay s office said. ....
