It is almost time to ring in the new year but Orange County wants to remind businesses that coronavirus compliance is still necessary.
ORLANDO, Fla. - Dropping in by request, the Orange County strike team visited a handful of establishments to offer their professional advice for keeping COVID compliant.
County officials said the two problems they run into most during their inspections are lack of sanitizer and signs requiring face masks.
Since early December when Orange County announced they would impose fines on businesses that failed to comply with COVID-19 safety protocols, the strike team has issued nine citations and 41 warnings. ....

Orange County strike teams issue 5 fines, 11 warnings to businesses not following COVID guidelines

Orange County Mayor Jerry Demings said five citations and 11 warnings have been issued to businesses found to be out of compliance with the new COVID-19 executive order.
“This, however, does represent just a small fraction of our county businesses that have been out of compliance,” Demings said during a Thursday press conference.

The order requires a business to ensure both employees and customers wear face coverings, to encourage telework or allow a rotation schedule for employees, to monitor its checkout points and staging areas for social distancing requirements by floor markings or similar actions, and to post appropriate signage throughout each physical location. ....
