Driver who caused accident by driving against traffic flow still in a coma, say cops

BUTTERWORTH: The 43-year-old man who drove his car against the flow of traffic before grazing an oncoming motorcycle and colliding with an oncoming car is still in a coma.
North Seberang Prai OCPD Asst Comm Noorzainy Mohd Noor said the man was in a coma and they were currently awaiting his blood test results.
The passengers in the other car are okay, he said Friday (April 16).
Earlier, it was reported that the accident on Wednesday (April 14) saw four people, including a family of three, rushed to the Seberang Jaya Hospital here with serious injuries following the accident involving three vehicles. ....

A pensioner who raped a young girl in 2017 was sentenced to 18 years imprisonment by the Butterworth regional court this week.
Sithembiso Ngwanya,70, was convicted and sentenced in the Butterworth regional court this week.
National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) regional spokesperson Luxolo Tyali said Ngwanya raped his live-in girlfriend s nine-year-old daughter.

A pensioner who raped a young girl in 2017 was sentenced to 18 years imprisonment by the Butterworth regional court this week.
National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) regional spokesperson Luxolo Tyali said Sithembiso Ngwanya, 70, raped his live-in girlfriend’s nine-year-old daughter.
“On December 11 2017, the mother of the young victim left her in the shack she shared with Ngwanya near Ibika township in the district of Butterworth.
“The mother had gone to work. She was employed as a domestic worker. Ngwanya, a pensioner who worked as a security guard at night, returned from work later that morning and found the young victim playing with her peers near their shack. ....
