We are excited to announce our Inaugural E-bike History Tour which will highlight significant locations in Palm Coast’s early development. Palm Coast resident and local FLEBIKE store owner Frank Paccilli is sponsoring and guiding the E-bike Tour of the “Core Area” of Palm Coast on Sunday, May 23 from 2 – 4:30 pm (weather permitting) to benefit the Palm Coast Historical Society and Museum. PCHS is accepting reservations and payment for 16 individuals on a first-come, first-serve basis on its website www.palmcoasthistory.org. ....

PALM COAST The City of Palm Coast Historical Society has offered a number of lectures highlighting the African American experience throughout history during February. Cheryl Howard, scholar co-founder of the African American Heritage Society of Pensacola, is the City of Palm Coast Historical Society’s next guest speaker. Howard is also the board president of the African American Heritage Society Inc. Howard will discuss The Green Book and what it offered African American travelers during the Jim Crow era as a means of safety. The Jim Crow era was a period of years after state and local laws that enforced racial segregation and discrimination, mostly in southern states, were in effect in the late 1800s and early 1900s and were enforced until 1965. ....
