COVID-19 accommodations weren’t the only changes to Western Michigan University’s campus this school year. Students moved into Arcadia Flats this spring, the brand new apartment complex on Western Michigan’s ring road. 
Arcadia Flats was the first phase of construction for WMU’s Hilltop Village. The next phase is the new student center expected to be complete in 2022. Below is a guided photo tour of WMU’s newest residence hall.

Arcadia Flats is separated into two wings with 197 units total and the capacity to house 330 students. There are five room layouts within the complex: A loft for $1,200; a studio for $950; two bedroom flat for $800; two bedroom studio for $750 and a four person two bedroom flat for $585. ....

Vermont Business Magazine The Vermont Department of Health is reporting a surge in new cases. There does not seem to be a single reason, but the new variants of the novel coronavirus are likely playing some role. Cases were elevated yesterday also, but today s 251 new cases is an all-time high for Vermont. There was also one more death for a statewide total of 224. Health Commissioner Mark Levine said at Friday’s press conference that we are meeting our primary public health goal of reducing the number of deaths and severe illness, and protecting those among us who are most vulnerable.  He said, however, that the high number of new cases reported today is concerning, and yet another reminder that we still must do everything we can to keep this virus from spreading.Finally, beginning at 8:15 am on Monday, March 29, Vermonters age 50 and older will be able to make an appointment for the COVID-19 vaccine. The sun on the pavement of the Charlotte Town Hall parking lot beat back the bitter cold spell facing voters today.
Michael Haulenbeek, a Charlotte woodworker and native, stopped to speak to his votes in favor of ballot items six and seven, both of which aim to allow for denser housing and development in the East Charlotte Village Commercial District.

AFTER MANY YEARS holding the Addison town meeting in the nearby elementary school, municipal officials decided to hold this year’s annual gathering in the Addison Town Hall building off Route 22A at the four corners next to the Baptist church.
