65 poultry birds found dead in Maharashtra s Jalgaon
Sixty-five poultry birds reported dead on February 15 in Jalgaon district, informed the Maharashtra government. So far 7,12,172 poultry birds (including 5,78,360 birds from Navapur of Nandurbar district), 26,03,728 eggs and 72,974 kg of poultry feed have been destroyed from the infected zone, according to the government.
According to the Union Ministry of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying, till January 30 outbreaks of avian influenza have been confirmed in 10 States/UTs- Kerala, Haryana, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh, Uttarakhand, Gujarat, Uttar Pradesh, Punjab and Jammu and Kashmir for poultry birds.
13 States/UTs including Madhya Pradesh, Haryana, Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh, Himachal Pradesh, Gujarat, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Delhi, Rajasthan, Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab and Bihar reported avian influenza among crow/migratory/wild birds. ....

302 birds found dead in a single day in Maharashtra amid Bird Flu outbreak


Maharashtra has recorded death of over 19,000 birds since January 8
As many as 302 birds, including 269 from poultry, were found dead in Maharashtra in a single day on Saturday, amid the
bird flu scare in the state and other parts of the country.
According to a press release, 175 birds were found dead in Aurangabad, 71 in Ahmednagar, 16 in Beed and seven in Osmanabad.
Their samples are being sent to the National Institute of High Security Animal Diseases in Bhopal and Disease Investigation Section, Pune for testing.
So far, Maharashtra has recorded the death of 19,827 birds since January 8.
The release further said that the samples of dead poultry birds found in Mahape and Ghansoli in Thane district tested positive for avian influenza as per the test results received on Saturday. ....

Till Monday, bird flu outbreak was confirmed in Delhi, Maharashtra, Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, Kerala, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, Haryana and Gujarat.

New Delhi: Fresh bird deaths were reported on Tuesday, including over 900 from Himachal Pradesh and Rajasthan, amid cases of avian influenza in 10 states and union territories, with the Centre saying it has issued advisories on testing and maintaining sufficient stock of PPE kits for culling operations.
In Uttarakhand, where nearly 300 birds, mostly crows, have died over the last few days, an high alert has been sounded after samples tested positive for the influenza, while in Maharashtra, a culling exercise was ordered in parts of Latur district. ....

Mumbai: Maharashtra has become the eighth state in the country to confirm cases of bird flu. Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray has called for an urgent meeting at 5 pm on Monday to deliberate upon the further course of action.
Cases of the deadly disease among birds were confirmed in Parbhani and the district administration has decided to cull all the birds in poultry farms within a one-kilometre radius of the site where 800 chickens died due to bird flu. ....
